SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED
The Humboldt Moving Picture Show is an opportunity for artists to interpret the moving picture in an apartment exhibition and backyard screening on the night of July 17th, 2010.
We are aiming to show the work of artists using animation, film and video as a means of experimentation, and whose approach is not bound by historical or commercial constraints. Artists working outside their usual practice in these media are encouraged to apply.
Are you an artist? Have you made a moving picture?
videos, and animations. On July 17th, 2010, the Richmond Sideyard will
once again host an outdoor screening of experimental film and video
art, accompanied by an exhibition of work on smaller screens and
installations inside the apartment. We are aiming to show the work of
artists using animation, film and video as a means of experimentation.
As well as a large outdoor screening in the sideyard, The Humboldt
Moving Picture Show would like to offer you the opportunity to show
your work on smaller screens inside the apartment. Currently available
screens include the living room TV and a 20″ computer monitor. Artists
who would like to install their own equipment (slide projectors, view
finders etc..) can propose to do so.
Submissions can be seconds short or up to 10 minutes long. Artists
working outside their usual practice in these media are also
encouraged to apply.
